Help Island Animal Rescue give them a loving home.
At Island Animal Rescue, we are dedicated to rescuing dogs and cats from the streets and beaches of Puerto Rico where there are an estimated 500,000 homeless animals. We work with partner rescuers in Puerto Rico to provide them medical care, food and shelter. When vaccinated and healthy enough, IAR arranges flights from San Juan to Newark Airport. Once here, we provide them loving foster care and permanent homes through our partner rescue groups in Central Jersey.

Marc and Elaine are a husband and wife team who have been rescuing dogs and cats from Puerto Rico for the past 4 years. Elaine is also a volunteer at the Somerset Regional Animal Shelter and has been caring for their cats and dogs, as well as a receptionist with them for over 12 years. Marc often assists the shelter by volunteering his time at street fairs, adoption events and represents the shelter in local parades. You will often find Elaine at Petco adoption events on the weekends helping Lost Paws find homes for animals brought in from all over the country where they have been rescued from overcrowded shelters, mistreatment and abandonment.
